About me and apartment/lifestyle:

I am 30(M) and have lived in Brooklyn for 5 years. I recently moved into the apartment 1 year ago, and I’ve really enjoyed living in a great and convenient area in Crown Heights. My current roommate is moving out to Bushwick, and I am very open to a new roommate's influence on the common areas. I currently have a couch, coffee table and TV in the area. I am planning to add new furniture and decor once a new roommate moves in.

I work as a Consultant in Midtown and typically work from the office 4-5 days/week. Most of the time I spend at the apartment is in the evenings or on weekends. My brother and other friends live in the neighborhood as well, so I typically spend a fair bit of time out of the apartment. I enjoy listening to music and reading in my spare time. I also like to cook when I have time, but I typically do not cook every single day.

I consider myself to be a pretty clean person and keep the common areas neat and free of mess. I expect you to do the same and clean up after yourself, but I am certainly not the type of person to institute a cleaning schedule or anything of the sort on my roommate.

I'm a relaxed and open person and looking for a roommate that is easy to get along with and open to becoming friends. I don't want to live with someone who is completely closed off and keeps to themselves. I am very used to living with others and hope to add a positive experience to your living situation. I have a wide range of interests, so hopefully we can find something to connect on.

About This Lister

Hi, I'm Carter (30M he/him). I'm originally from the Southeastern US and moved to NYC 5 years ago after finishing graduate school in upstate New York. I work as a Marketing Consultant in Midtown, and typically work from the office 4-5 days/week.

I am a considerate roommate who is used to living with others. I have a twin brother who lives in the neighborhood, and he is typically my most frequent guest. I have lived in a number of different roommate scenarios (all male, male/female, and in a partnered relationship). I am open to roommates of any gender identity or sexual orientation.
I am an easy-going person who enjoys relaxing when I'm home and away from work. I have a wide range of interests and like to have conversations to get to know who I'm living with, but I'm also happy reading and listening to music alone in my room.
