My wife and I are looking to swap our 2-bedroom little house in LA for a 1-bedroom (or more!) in New York -- or a studio, but it has to be really good -- in November. A preference for Brooklyn, but Manhattan or the Queens would work too.

It has to be pet friendly since we'll have our extremely sweet and gentle cat Ozzy (who doesn't scratch furniture). You're more than welcome to come with your pets of course!

Our place is located in a quiet and family friendly street in East Hollywood (in front of an elementary school), walking distance from Silver Lake, Virgil Village and Los Feliz (I walk there every day to get my coffee). Thai Town and Koreatown, and their amazing restaurants and bars are also nearby. In short: tons of food options nearby (we'll keep a list of our favorites for you).

The unit is a 1923 vanishing storybook style, detached bungalow in a three houses lot. The neighbours are very nice and it feels private because it's detached from the other houses and there's a private patio and a small yard where we like having our morning coffee, after-work glass of wine or BBQ diner.

The place is a two-bedroom and one bathroom, recently renovated, with all the amenities : Hardwood floor / Washer/Dryer / Ceiling Fans in every room / AC in the living room and primary bedroom / TV with lots of streaming services / Equipped Kitchen (oven, gas, Kitchen Aid mixer and everything to cook and bake) / Outdoor grill / Patio / Yard... It's all furnished of course. It gets a lot of light in the afternoon, and feels very spacious.

About This Lister

We're Jacky and Claire, a married couple, both French, who've been living in Los Angeles for respectively 11 and 7 years.

I'm a journalist (working as a correspondant for major French publications), she's a freelance consultant. I'm also a filmmaker, having directed several shorts and documentaries (and currently working on my first feature). We're spending the fall in New York, for professional reasons.

No smoking inside. We're clean, organized, respectful -- and our very sweet cat Ozzy will be with us!
