Hello, I'm offering my 1 bedroom apartment for a 1 month stay from Sunday January 26th through Sunday February 23rd! I will prioritize those who can take the entire time but am open to smaller time frames if it works.
The apartment is completely furnished and the bedroom has a queen size bed (it’s a sturdy and comfortable pull out bed with a tempur-pedic mattress topper). The rent is $2200/month or $600/week (all utilities included).
My place is located right above Central Park North (near 113th and St. Nicholas Ave). I love my neighborhood and my neighbors and will only consider people who respect the Harlem community (it can be noisy at times with music playing on the street, or people hanging out on the stoop - so if this bothers you, it’s not the space for you). It is a 3 minute walk to central park and the express 2/3 train (and a 7 minute walk to the C/B train).
The apartment (fourth floor walk up) is spacious with large ceilings and has amazing light for the majority of the day. It does not have laundry in the building but there is a great laundromat 30 seconds away on the corner of the street, and you don’t even have to cross a street to get there (they have great wash and fold rates and offer pickup and delivery!). The kitchen is freshly painted but is a bit outdated and there is no dishwasher. But, the old building means there are tons of large, beautiful, windows, the ceilings are higher than you’ll normally find, and the place is spacious with the rooms in the back of the apartment away from street level noise. There is AC in every room.
My name is Maria (she/her), and I’m a 38 year old opera singer and voice teacher here in NYC. I perform in the chorus with the Metropolitan Opera and I will be away working on an opera out of town for this time period!
Looking for someone who is easy going and flexible and likes to keep a tidy space and will be mindful and courteous to my belongings and furniture while I'm gone. Couples welcome.
Hoping this is the right fit for you! I’m happy to facetime to show you the place and walk you through it or discuss details. I’m open to different lengths of stay, so please don’t hesitate to ask!
Respectful of all people - LGBTQ, anti-racist, committed to equity and inclusion!
Current Tenant
I would prefer someone who is very low maintenance (okay with old apartment quirks that are very typical to these old NYC apartment buildings). I won’t be able to add you to an official lease and you will be considered a short term subletter given the length of stay. The furniture can’t be moved or changed or added to since it’s a furnished bedroom. I can only entertain people who are just bringing their clothes and personal items.
