Hi all, had great results subletting here before. I’ll be traveling - departing March 10th and returning April 2nd. There is some flexibility with dates - could be shorter just not longer as I’ll need to return to work. Preference towards those taking the majority / all of those days.
Seeking one responsible person who will respect the space (sorry, no couples) for a furnished bedroom in a 2br/1ba on the fourth floor of a walkup (no elevator) on a very quiet stretch of East Broadway, 5 minutes from the F train and 8 minutes from the JMZ/F at Delancey Essex. Queen Laundromat is one block away.
*Unfortunately no pets are allowed per the landlord* & I do have 2 plants that I'd ask you water once a week on Sundays :)
Bedroom will be cleared of my personal things in the photos - it’s furnished with a Queen size Casper Wave mattress, Buffy pillows/nice warm comforter, desk, dresser and clothing rack. 3 windows give lots of light or use the blackout curtains to mute it. You can access the fire escape from the room - it has a great view of the surrounding apartments.
My roommate is a very chill and respectful boxing trainer in his 30s who I met on listings project, he works out of the house and goes out frequently but doesn’t party at home or make noise when he comes home. His lady-friend stays over a few nights a week, she’s also chill and they mostly hang out in his room. The apartment setup is looong, with his room on the opposite end, so you won’t hear each other too much when he is home. He doesn't use the living room much, cooks a few times a week, and cleans up after himself other than occasionally leaving a handful of dishes in the sink for a few hours when busy with work/life, but it's never filling up the sink or anything.
This is a rather tranquil apartment for lower Manhattan, and the area especially, but there is a ton to do! 5 min walk to Dimes Sq or down to the river, 10 to the East Village or Chinatown, 15 to Soho, you get the idea.
Rent is $1100 for the 23 days which includes wifi/utilities. Also asking for a $500 damage deposit that I’ll return as soon as I’m back as long as nothing major is damaged. The lease is in my name so you'd be paying me directly which I would then pay to the landlord. We can also sign a sublease agreement with all this info included.
I'm a painter and guitarist in my late 30s, in NYC for 14 years.
